Shapes Educational

Games/Resources developed, tried and tested by a TEACHER to introduce a
fun-learning aspect to numeracy and literacy.

I completed a B.A. in maths and economics at U.C.C. and later attended St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. I presently work as learning support/resource in Scoil Gharbháin, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
When I qualified in the 80s, jobs were scarce so I emigrated to London. I spent 13 years in a middle school (primary and first two years of secondary) and I taught maths and design technology.
When I returned to Ireland in 2001 I attended W.I.T. to study architecture where I was introduced to C.A.D. (computer aided design). When I took up teaching again I used C.A.D. to produce a variety of resources to help me as an educator and to make learning a fun activity.
I have successfully used these over the last five years and it was suggested that I make these resources available for other teachers, both in the area of learning support/resource and for general classroom use.
